Airborne Scanning Systems

SVC EPS-A

Spectra Vista Corporation manufactures a full range of new generation Airborne Hyperspectral and Multispectral Imaging Systems. There are three basic EPS Series scanners, with different aperture sizes. The baseline band configuration for each series is described in the table below. Systems can also be tailored to specific customer requirements.

Some of the unique and innovative features distinguishing our Imaging Systems are:

  • Kennedy Scanner design for high SNR and 90° field of regard
  • Coverage of the electromagnetic spectrum from the ultraviolet to the thermal infrared
  • Bandwidths as small as 5nm for excellent spectral discrimination
  • Scan speeds greater than 100 Hz for spatial resolution smaller than 0.5 meters
  • Precision control of continuously adjustable scan speeds for flight at any altitude
  • Accurate mirror calibration for excellent image quality and fidelity
  • VME bus architecture for high reliability and system flexibilty
  • Electronics immune from EMI, power fluctuations, and aircraft vibration
  • Modular processor UltraSPARC workstation for maximum performance
  • GUI software for real time image display and system control
  • Integrated GPS and 3-axis gyroscope data for image geometry and rectification
  • Full spectral, radiometric, thermometric, and spatial calibration for quantitative data analysis
